On the night of the dinner we had almost 100 of these little tissue covers dotted around on the tables. They had all been made by Joy H and sent to me to hand out at the dinner. So many people commented on them and said they were curious as to how they were made that I asked Joy to do a tutorial for us.
Here you go....
Requirements
2 x
7.5" squares in contrasting fabrics
2
co-coordinating buttons
Place the fabrics right side together, stitch around the edge using a 1/4" seam and leaving a gap in one edge for turning.
Clip corners, turn press and top stitch edged enclosing turning gap.
Fold square into a triangle.
Measure down each side of the triangle 2"
Stitch the two side together with a small over stitch in co-coordinating thread.
Refold with the slit centred.
Attach buttons
Insert tissues and close the ends
Hope
this makes sense. It does to me but then I have already made one or two of
them.
Cheers
Joy
