Blocks of the Month
I have just returned from Canberra and the Annual Aussie Heroes
Thank You Dinner...plus other events. I went
with five other members of the Coffs Harbour Sewing Team. What a wonderful time!
We took ten of our recent quilts to display at the venue and they looked great.
Today, they have been posted off to their owners.
Spending time with others who also make Quilts and Laundry Bags, at the events, was a great
opportunity to chat about what we do and about receiving letters back from Recipients.
At both the Quilters Friday night event and the Saturday night Dinner, we were addressed
by speakers who all said THANK YOU to the Quilters for all we do.
Over and over again, we heard the stories about receiving a quilt and a letter from the maker.
We heard how much this impacted the lives of the Recipients. What we do is
making a difference to the lives of the deployed Defence Force members.
If you make Blocks of the Month, they are used make the quilts that the Recipients
receive. So, the heartfelt expressions of THANK YOU are for you too.
