Weekly Dispatches 15 December 2017

Hi to all you wonderfully creative people !

Merry Christmas

The work that is come in the week is a delight.  I do get pleasure every week viewing all the marvellous and clever work that has been sent in.  I hope that you have now finished what ever present shopping you have to do.  The shops are going to be crazy from here on in until Christmas Eve.  Unfortunately you will need to venture out and brave the grocery shopping along with everyone else.  When you are out there, in your local community, spread the Christmas spirit to everyone you meet.  You are all generous and special people for the work you do.  Everyone out there needs to know that you are tremendous.  The recipients certainly understand how important, kind and thoughtful you sewing Australians you are to  support our Defence personnel.

So far for 2017 we have sent off 1699 quilts

Bringing our total since we started to over 8,342 quilts

&

3228 laundry bags for the year

Which brings us to a total of 16,405 since we started...

Thank you to the sewers for all your effort, care and consideration.  May the Christmas Fairy Bless you with a happiness across the silly season.  (this could come in the form of alcohol or simply wonderful company with your family and friends).
Our very best wishes go out to the Defence Personnel who will not be home with their families.  We wish you safety, comfort and some fun with your comrades.
"See you round like a rissole"
Shelley
