Thank you from Terry and Heather Acreman....

This is a message that was posted on the Aussie Hero Quilts Facebook Page and so I am sharing it here so that you can all read it.

Hello to everyone and thank you from Heather and myself for the opportunity to share our gratitude to all involved with this great organisation and a heartfelt thank you to Jan-Maree Ball for such wonderful gifts. Both my wife and I feel extremely blessed to have had involvement with Aussie Hero Quilts, we are lucky to have three of these amazing quilts each with their own individual story which we would like to share with you all.

1- Given to our son on deployment to the Gulf in early 2016 while serving on the HMAS Darwin. It is Star Wars themed with it's own matching laundry bag. We also sent him a care package not knowing he had been gifted particular this quilt. in the care package was a set of PJ's also Star Wars themed he was thrilled when we spoke he could not believe the coincidence.

2- Was given to us on his passing while still deployed to the Gulf mid 2016 which we took great solace in, to know that someone cared enough to take the time and effort to do this for our family at a time of great loss with a beautiful patch work design .
3- Was presented to Heather and I on the decommissioning of the HMAS Darwin in December 2017 at Garden Island by Jan-Maree this one has the most amazing Poppy theme .

We appreciate the amount of love, time and hard work that goes into the making of these wonderful quilts and they are truly treasured items to our family and I am sure to all who receive them. We would like to thank each and everyone who has given so freely there time and skills to this great charity thank you.
