Weekly Dispatches 5 June

Greetings all.
I have had a good week. I sure hope you all have too.
Lots of gorgeous quilts and laundry bags have gone in the mail this week.  We have welcomed home HMAS Success and are now flat out sewing away to make sure noone on HMAS Newcastle misses out. They have given us a good challenge.  I need lots more quilts for Newcastle so if you have a "random" quilt that you are working on that would suit a bloke please let me know. As long as you can get your quilt in the mail no later than 24 July it would be great to go to HMAS Newcastle.

Also if you have posted off a quilt or a laundry bag this week and if it has a name on it or distinctive initials for example, it may not be on the blog tonight. I often hold those ones over till I am fairly confident they have been recieived. If you have not seen them on the blog in a couple of weeks' time please let me know.

Now on with the show.

674 quilts and 895 laundry bags for 2015.

4256 quilts and  6341 laundry bags in total.

I cut this one out and Gail was kind enough to sew it up.  Fun!

I took this one with me when I went to meet the Captain, Ship's Warrant Officer and Chaplain from HMAS Melbourne.  I did my research and presented the SWO with this one - wish you could have seen his face!  :-D
