Weekly Dispatches 19 June 2015

Well, not sure about where you are but in Sydney it is perfect quilting weather.  Hope whatever you are doing this weekend you are able to stay warm and dry and spare a thought for our deployed folks.... the temperatures are getting up there and not all of them spend their days in an airconditioned office.

Here are the quilts and laundry bags for this week...

767 quilts and 1012 laundry bags for 2015.

4349 quilts and  6459 laundry bags in total.

This quilt was donated to us but I do not have the name recorded.  I think I know who made it but am not sure  so don't want to hazard a guess. It was embellished by Robin who added the Southern Cross and then Louise who added the ANZAC details. It is bound for Iraq to hang in an area used by both Kiwis and Aussies.

This is one of our Mystery Quilts that we made a while ago.  Most of these blocks were leftovers from other Mystery Quilts where people sent in more blocks that we needed. It went to the perfect recipient this week and I hear he was thrilled with it.
