We are in print again

Just a short post tonight as I have a lot to do today, not the least of which is put out the request list again.

Good news.  There is another magazine article featuring Aussie Heroes this week.   This time it is from the Delightful Country Threads magazine.

First there is a pattern created by one of our very clever quilters, Tracie.  It is an Aussie Hero Scrap Quilt and you all know I LOOOOOVE scrap quilts.   All instructions are included and great photos of the finished project.

Although this is a scrap quilt it would be easy to adapt it to a personalised quilt.  You could focus on using footy colours or you could applique a silhouette of something appropriate.  If you look closely you will see that the centre of one of the blocks features doughnuts. If you wanted to you could pick an appropriate feature print or two and carry that through the centre of each block and that could personalise the quilt as well.

In addition to the quilt pattern there is also four page spread about Aussie Heroes. Now you will have to buy the magazine to see all the pictures and read the article but this photo should give you a taste.

Before I go I have to wish a very big happy birthday to our own Rita, aka Granny Smith.  I am sure that the gorgeous (and cheeky) Bob will have arranged something nice for you.  Have a lovely day .....and then back to sewing tomorrow! :-D

Till next time, keep spreading the word and happy stitching!
