Request List 7 September 2020

7 September  2020 Request List

Good morning, good morning (just!), it’s Monday!! !  And here’s this week’s Request List.  I love putting the Request List together, thinking of the recipients and where these amazing quilts and laundry bags will end up – it’s up to you, the amazing Aussie Heroes volunteers.  I hope there’s a choice on this list that you’d like to sew.....I am looking forward to receiving the emails accepting the interesting themed requests.

Thank you! Thank you! Thanks goes to all who’ve been able to add a C-19 laundry bag or two (or more) this past week to send off to the ADF team deployed on Covid Assist.    The Chaplain at Holsworthy has sent though a huge “Thank you” to the wonderful volunteers sewing laundry bags – he is equipping our deployed ADF with the laundry bags and the feedback is of amazing gratitude.  We are very pleased to be providing laundry bags for those serving our community with this very real need.  If you can, please put together this week a fun and colourful laundry bag for someone serving.  We’ll send you the address for dispatch  (we are waiting on the next addresses to send the bags to) and would love to see a photo in return to add to the Weekly Dispatches blog post! If you’ve not sewn an Aussie Hero laundry bag before but would like to give one a try here’s the link to the Instructions on the AHQ blog > http://aussieheroquilts.blogspot.com/p/laundry-bag-specifics.html

Any queries you might have, please don’t hesitate to contact via the AHQ email as per usual with any queries and we will assist you from there.  We may not know the answer but it will be our pleasure to research and get back to you.  You may find your query is answered by me or perhaps Alex, Catherine, Courtney or Lisa. We will be ‘on duty’ in rotation.  I do wish however to bring to your attention the link to info regarding posting off your laundry bag or quilt  - click here for up-to-date info > http://aussieheroquilts.blogspot.com/p/posting-information.html.  If you have a quilt underway but are concerned you may not complete it by the ‘post by’ date, please let me know;  an adjustment may be available.

Don’t forget, if you look at today’s Request List and need help choosing, please feel free to get in touch to discuss, we will be ready to reply and offer guidance by email. If you need a crest etc  we may be able to post  embroideries / printed fabric images or email some of these to you. Helpful info may be gleaned here

http://aussieheroquilts.blogspot.com/2019/07/information-post-for-those-that-sew-for.html    I look forward to seeing the photos of completed quilts and LBs when they are ready to post off.

I will respond to your emails when you respond to select a quilt or laundry bag to sew.  But please don’t delay, make your selection, send your email through, say “Hi” J and let me know what you’d like to sew this week.

I am looking forward to connecting with you.

Cheers,
Clarissa

Priority Quilts

Requests  13 - 29 are our priority quilts this week and need to be in the mail by 29 September or earlier, thank you. Can you help with these?

You may be aware of postal delays holding up timely delivery of mail.  Despite that problem, the post by date for all items on this list is 12 October  please or earlier J.  If you cannot make that date, please let me know.

PLEASE note the date and let me know if you have any problems getting your quilt/LB away on time. In fact, if you are going to be late posting it please let me know BEFORE you post it.  Also, if this time frame is too tight for you, there are options, just email me to discuss, thank you.
