The Exhibition can be seen in the restaurant, Wil and Sons Restaurant. The food was great and the service terrific.
Details for the exhibition can be found here
After three deployments to Afghanistan Warrick found himself struggling, lost and angry. He was pushing people away and isolating himself. Thankfully, eventually he put his hand up, more than once, for help and he says that now he has come to a place where he can talk about this part of his life. He has reached a point where he has the skills to prevent the dark times from taking over.
In Warrick's words,
"Spending as many sunrises as possible out in the salt and the swell has become the most effective form of prevention. Out where the raw, beautiful power of the ocean forces me to stop and appreciate the good in my life and the world."
Warrick shares his journey through his photography in the hope that those who don't battle will gain some appreciation of what it is like for those who do... and he wants those who do battle to know that noone has to go through these battles alone.
If you are in or around Newcastle this week, why not head into Wil & Sons for cuppa or a meal and check out Warrick's exhibtion? Don't delay, the exhibition is only open for another week. The food and the service is absolutely great, and while you are enjoying your food and drink you can check out Warrick's beautiful photos.
Till next time.. keep spreading the word and happy stitching!
