BLOCK OF THE MONTH QUILTS
Thank you to all the contributors of Blocks of the Month.
Your blocks are made into quilts for our Aussie Heroes by the Coffs Harbour Sewing Team
and are personalised to meet the Requests of each Recipient. The Requests vary greatly
and include such things as representing a favourite sports team or images of
loved pets at home or a favourite pastime or sport activity. Sometimes, the Recipient
asks for their quilt to honour their Ship and the Navy or Aircraft
and the RAAF. ANZAC theme quilts are often requested. We do our best
to meet their Requests.
A special THANK YOU to the AHQ Embroidery Team...a group of dedicated volunteers
who digitise and stitch out the magnificent Crests and Badges, as well as Text Panels,
that make the quilts look so professional and honour our Aussie Heroes.
