Another busy week at HQ AHQ. The house is fairly well organised by now but the work has started on the garden and drive way this week. Hooley dooley, mud, dirt, rubble and more all around the place. My dog is not very impressed with being locked inside. Three more weeks and it should all be finished and I can't wait to see it all done.
So whilst landscapers are making a mess of my yard... all of the wonderful volunteers have been working hard in their homes and another great week of quilts and laundry bags on their way.
So far for 2018 we have sent off 637 quilts
Bringing our total since we started to over 9052 quilts
1274 laundry bags for the year so far
which brings us to a total of 17,870 since we started in 2012.

At last year's Aussie Hero Quilts Thank You Dinner we auctioned the right to commission a laundry bag... a dapper young army reserve officer bid assertively on it in order to request a laundry bag for his lovely wife... and on the weekend it was handed over by Gail who made it.
