Simpson
Barracks tour for Aussie Hero Quilters, Laundry Bag makers, embroiderers, etc!
The Aussie Heroes tour to Simpson Barracks at Watsonia
(Melbourne) is on Wednesday, 4 July, (that’s only 2 weeks away) and there are a
few spots still available! So, if you
would like to come along but haven’t yet put your name down, please email
Nicole W (wilsons@bigpond.net.au).
Padre Mark Dunn has organised a great visit
for us, with morning tea, tours of the museum and Barracks environs, lunch, as
well as the opportunity to meet a few recipients! Don’t forget, if you are coming by train and
need a lift from a station, let us know.
Caroline and I will do our best to help.
Other Aussie Hero sewists who are attending have
also offered transport help, so we’re sure to find a way to get you there (and
home again!). Don’t miss this great
opportunity to gain an insight into Barracks life for our service personnel,
and an understanding of the value of what we do for our serving Aussies. Look forward to seeing you there!
It is a great place to visit and if you dont go, will regret it !
