August Block of the Month - Half Square Triangles

Hi Everyone, Caroline here.
This month we have put together what I think is the easiest Block of the Month for a while.
We are going to get you to make Half Square Triangle units

To make these you will need:

1 x 6 1/2in square of a cream or  light grey or  calico or light tone-on-tone fabric
1 x 6 1/2in square of contrasting print  or darker tone-on-tone fabric

NOTE: PLEASE NO PINKS OR GIRLY FLORALS

Use a Frixion pen or a light pencil to mark a diagonal line from corner to corner on the wrong side of the lighter square.
Pin the two squares together right sides facing with the marked square on top.

Stitch a line 1/4in either side of the marked line.

Use a rotary cutter and cut along the marked line to separate the two halves.

Press the seams towards the darker fabric on each new square to create the half square triangle units.

That's it !! you're done.

DO NOT TRIM THESE SQUARES JUST SEND IN AS IS WE WILL TRIM TO SIZE.

Make as many as you like or even just two.
Send your finished BOM's to
