Just a short post as I am running out of spare time with all that has to be done to prepare for a presentation on Tuesday night and departure to Melbourne for the Australian Quilt Convention on Wednesday ....
We are in print again.... Quilters Companion has written a fabulous article about Aussie Heroes.
You will have to buy it to see what it says....
and while you are checking it out, check out this article on the lovely and extremely talented Tamsin Harvey... one of our quilters, own of Berrima Patchwork and now AUTHOR of a gorgeous book called Constantinople Quilts!
If this magazine article does not whet your appetite for Tamsin's gorgeous book then take my word for it - you need to check it out. Her quilts are stunning and there are lots of other projects in the book as well. I don't want to tell you too much but much of the work in the book was inspired by a trip Tamsin did in 2006 to Turkey to visit Gallipoli to see where her Great-Grandfather had fought during WWI.
That month spend traveling around Turkey gave her a wealth of inspiration which she has poured into this book. Hopefully it will be out soon but grab the mag and read all about it and Tamsin in the mean time.
Til next time.................keep spreading the word and happy stitching!

I haven't been buying quilt magazines lately, but I will make an exception for this one. I'm going along to the AQC as well, will stop by and say hello to you all.
