Weekly Dispatches 10 October

G'day all,  Another week down and another week or great work by you wonderful quilters and laundry bag makers.

The next request list will go out on Monday. If you want to receive it you need to email me to put you on the volunteer list, preferably by Sunday night. We have had a lot of new requests in the last 48 hours, mostly from the new deployment that headed off to support our aircrew.  Lots of requests for both quilts and laundry bags. If you are new to Aussie Heroes and are not confident enough to take on a quilt then how about making a laundry bag?

I am sure there are lots of us who are a little nervous about what our heroes will come up against with this new deployment.  The best thing those of us back here can do at the moment is to let them know that we are behind them all the way.

After all, we care about the people not the politics or the mission.

Now sit back and enjoy the show and tell.  Lots of inspiring quilts and laundry bags to look at!

899 quilts and 1120 laundry bags for 2014.

3261 quilts and  5023 laundry bags in total.

This was a real joint effort.  Kerri made the Rising Sun, Michelle embroidered all the deployment details down the middle, I created the red roos, Lynn made the top and Belinda quilted it.  Yay Team!
