This has been a very tough week for our wonderful guys over there, but especially for the guys of the group that the late SGT Diddams belonged to.
These are some of the nicest guys I have dealt with since starting Aussie Heroes and it is so hard to know they must be hurting so imagine how I felt when I got this email this morning from their RSM (Regimental Sergeant Major)

You'll be happy to know that we
received two of your quilts today. I handed them out already and they were
received with gratitude. It was a good morale boost after a tough few
days.
Nothing makes me prouder of what we do than knowing we are boosting morale in even a small way when it is needed.
The following message and pictures also show that what we are doing is appreciated!

As promised, please see attached photos of
me VERY happy with my quilt and laundry bag! (Not sure where my hair and
make-up people got to, they were supposed to be there ...). Thanks so much for
all your hard work.
I couldn't do it without you all so a very big thank you to everyone who has jumped on board!
We are making a difference!
Do you want to make a difference?
If any of you out there want to put a smile on a girl's face like the one above please let me know. I have had a request for a girly quilt that is still waiting to be filled. Let me know if you are interested please. (and again a lovely AH Friend has snapped this one up)
And now for the quilts of the week.
If you have sent a quilt or laundry bag off this week and I haven't included it here PLEASE email me so I can rectify that immediately!
This lovely bright one was made by Chris from SA. I really love that stripe!
Caroline made this gorgeous one - Very Aussie!
Oi Oi Oi! and don't forget the laundry bag.
Karen quilted this quilt which Andrea made.
Fran sent this clever quilt off - love the colours!
And check out these boxes by Marg!
Do you reckon there will be some happy faces once these contents are sighted?
and these - and don't you just LOVE the cupcake laundry bag!!!
And finally Peg has been sewing BOMs and asked me if it was alright to use the extra triangles to make a pinwheel in the middle of the block. I don't see why not - looks pretty cool I think!
Please note.
If you email me, leave a comment or facebook me and you don't hear back from me within 24 hours it means that I have somehow missed your message. This doesn't happen often but sometimes I get a heap of emails in and things get frantaically busy and occasionally to my horror I slip. I hate it when this happens but what can I say. I am only human (but please don't tell my kids - they think I am super human - yeah right!)
If ever you don't get a response from me within 24 hours please contact me again.
Don't forget - one girly quilt needed!
Till next time..........keep spreading the word and happy stitching!
