Hi all,
Good morning, another week of sewing , embroidering, quilting and stitching. Will you choose a quilt or laundry bag to sew this week? There’s a lot to choose from. We have a few new quilters to the AHQ team and I’d like to send a huge “welcome”. Like you, we on the admin team assisting Jan-Maree are also new to the game but we are ramping up and feeling a lot more confident now.
As mentioned in previous posts, we are now a team of four
assisting Jan-Maree whilst she is taking care of some new health issues. It is our pleasure to support you, the
volunteers sewing but please bear with us while we are on L plates learning the
ropes and getting to know all of you. We are slowly coming up to speed and
hopefully continuing to support you, the extraordinary AHWQ volunteers,
to enable the amazing contribution you are making.
Yes, some things do change; some things remain the same. Don’t hesitate to
contact the AHQ email as per usual with any queries and we will assist you from
there. Request List, Gratitude Posts, Weekly Dispatches etc will all continue
and likewise, we will continue to value your support of AHQ and those whom AHQ
supports. You may find your query is answered by me or perhaps Alex, Courtney
or Lisa. We will be ‘on duty’ in rotation.
Don’t forget, if you look at the list and need help choosing please feel free
to let us know, we will be ready to reply and offer guidance by email. Our goal
is to help you find a request that you will be comfortable with doing. There’s
a good number of requests this week
requesting inclusion of a service
crest, a badge, flag or text. If appropriate we can arrange to have these
embroidered for you, just ask. I look forward to seeing the photos of
completed quilts and LBs when they are ready to post off.
It is likely that I will respond to your emails later today when you respond to
select a quilt or laundry bag to sew. I am looking forward to connecting with

Priority Quilts
Requests 12 - 26 are our priority quilts this week
and need to be in the mail by 21 July or earlier, thank you. Can you help
with these?
The post by date for all items on
this list is 3 August please. If you cannot make
that date, please let me know.
PLEASE note the date and let me know if you have any problems getting your
quilt/LB away on time. In fact, if you are going to be late posting it please
let me know BEFORE you post it. Also, if this time frame is too tight for
you, there are options, just email me to discuss.

We now have a wonderful Board of
Directors and they have requested that we add photos of the volunteers to
include in various projects. More on
