Hello Quilters
We have a special blog occasion
The HMAS Darwin has been in service since 1984 and will be decommissioned in 2017.
In honour of the men and women who have served for her final days, we supplied a wonderful collection of Laundry Bags. These were presented to the crew on Thursday 24th August and were extremely well received.
We have not included all 260+ in this post but hopefully have posted a representational selection of them including one from each person who made one or more.
And if you are wondering why most of the bags are pale and plain on the front that is so that the crew can collect patches or signatures on their bags if they wish.
A special thanks to all who participated in this wonderful work.

A wonderful effort by all of the quilters involved.
We were made especially welcome at the presentation and I'm sure all of the recipients will enjoy their laundry bags for years to come.
