Here is this week's version of the Tales of the Travelling 15th Anniversary Laundry Bags....
Enjoy!
.......................................
We love collaborating with others to complete the best projects we can to fulfil requests for our recipients. Every now and then we are asked to complete something a little bit out of the ordinary, and although we generally stick firmly to our standard products, quilts and laundry bags, sometimes it is appropriate to do something a little different that still fits within our constitution. Quattrofy are a veteran owned company that produces quality custome apparel and so much more. Wait til you see what we are collaborating on with Quattrofy for this time. Watch this space in a couple of months……
“The Quattrofy Team has been proud to work with the Aussie Hero Quilts crew in any way we can for many years now, Jan-Maree and the team bring an amazing connection to our troops, on deployment and at home with their laundry bags and quilts.
Congratulations on the 15th Anniversary team!”

One of our 15th Anniversary Laundry Bags spent a couple of weeks visiting Parliament House in Canberra. It started off the office of Luke Gosling OAM MP and once he had signed it and posed for photos on his own and then with Matt Burnell MP,the bag started doing the rounds. You may have seen the lovely post that Luke posted on his own profile.
“Congratulations on 15 years. Thank you for supporting our personnel and veterans across Australia and the world, and bringing comfort to the community."
As you can see the bag went of to visit a number of our pollies (see list below.) Even the PM took the time to sign our bag. We may not have a photo, but I have the signature and that is good enough. The final signature added to the bag was by Jerimy Tucker , staffer extraordinaire, who put a lot of effort escorting the bag around and gathering all the signatures and photos. Jerimy himself is a veteran and has attended our Annual Thank You Dinner so he is well versed with what we do. Thank you Jerimy!
Photos include:

One of our 15th Anniversary Laundry Bags is currently participating in the #ShitboxRally as passenger and morale booster for the team called the #Tankette driven by two intrepid serving #AusAirForce officers, including one of our recipients.
Before they hit the road the Tankette visited their “extended family” in Townsville. They said that even when surrounded by all the capable armoured vehicles, they'd still choose their Tankette every single time for two reasons
1. They're crazy 🤣 and
2. a deciding factor is the $1500 price limit for Shitbox Rally cars. (Seems you can't pick up an M1A2 Abrams Main Battle Tank or an Australian Light Armoured Vehicle for our budget.
They have however named their Might Tankette after Courage, a wedge-tailed eagle even though the unit mascot tried to outshine the Tankette!
The pic was taken in Wyandra and I believe they have made it to Charleville now. It is not too late to help them raise critical funds for cancer research here: https://lnkd.in/gECc6E_H

Our 15th Anniversary Laundry Bag’s on the #ShitboxRally with the team called the #Tankette continues. This morning I received new photos taken in the jet engine bay of a 747 from Longreach.
Thanks to everyone for getting involved. Here's to a new bunch next week.
Till next time..... keep spreading the word and happy stitching.
Jan-Maree xx
