Grati-Wednesday 27th May 2026

Happy Wednesday Friends!

Welcome to the last post for May!
Only two thank you's this week but everyone counts and is special not only to the volunteer but to us all.

Grab a cuppa or cool drink, sit back and relax while you soak up some well-deserved gratitude

Good Morning ma'am from the UK,

G'day Ellen N. Your beautiful quilt has made it over to us successfully and is under safe keeping. I also want to take the time to thank you and your family for their service and I appreciate your sacrifice and selflessness.

Kind Regards,

Hey Cath H,

Today in the mail I received the beautiful laundry bag that you have created.

Firstly I just want to say how incredibly grateful I am for this creation, you have so perfectly captured so much more than what I could have imagined when I put the request in. In the middle of the pretty challenging few months this has brought me so much happiness today,

I loved reading the letter you wrote, Hope seems like she was an amazing dog that will be dearly missed because of the joy and love she brought into your life. I have lost a few family dogs in the past few years and it never gets easier, my current dog is the first one I have owned all by myself and I am dreading the heartbreak that will come from that.

Im currently on OP Accordion and noting the current situation it’s been an interesting time. But most importantly I have missed my family and ‘Kazoo’ my King Charles Cavalier so so much.

Kazoo is 7 years old and I also got her from a retired breeding farm. She is my whole world and now that I’m away from her I have realised all my spare time rotates around her. She is a beautiful dog who honestly acts more like a cat than a dog. She loves to sleep in the sun and snores so loudly. She loves frozen chicken necks and eggs and is an extremely picky eater. She is the most adorable thing in the world and despite her being very stinky I wouldn’t change anything about her.

I would describe what she looks like but honestly she is identical to the fabric that you chose. She is fluffy and has droopy ears and spiky grinch toes.

Ive been in the Navy since I was 18 and about to pass my 7 year milestones. I've been granted some amazing opportunities and excited for the continued adventure.

Again I thank you for this amazing gift you have created and Im excited to hear back from you

Kind Regards,

***

Cheers Catherine D

Until next week keep your letters, emails and photos coming in.  Wednesdays would be so totally boring without them!
