Special Quilt Offer for 15+ years of service acknowledgment

G'day all,

This year we are celebrating our 15^th Anniversary, so we are doing all sorts of things to promote this milestone. One thing we are doing announcing a special offer for a quilt and/or laundry bag to all those who have completed more than 15 years of service. If this is you, or someone you know, then please get in touch and send us your details so we can add you to our Request List.

Don't be shy - if you've not had the opportunity to receive a quilt/laundry bag prior please consider submitting a request. We are delighted to sew for you. 

The design preferences submitted often reflect the history of service or simply interests which have inspired and sustained someone through their service. We are indeed honoured to create a work of the heart to say "Thank you".

Capped at 50 requests we will be very pleased to hear from you if you are, or have been, a serving member who has completed 15+ years of service.  

Here is the deal. You have until 6pm Friday 16^th January to request a personalised Aussie Hero quilt and/or laundry bag for yourself, or for someone you know. The recipient must have served a duration of 15+ years and does not need to be currently serving at the time of the request.  Past quilt recipients NOT eligible.  

We hope that this will give us the chance to recognise some of those who have not had the opportunity to receive an Aussie Heroes quilt or bag in the past. Nonetheless, they need to know their service is appreciated.

You need to EMAIL (no messages or texts please) on friendsofAHQ@gmail.com with the following essential details:

Name, Rank,

Number of years served,

Postal address and

Preferences.

Please bear in mind that your quilt/bag will be designed and made by a volunteer. Service crests and corps badges are mostly no problem.

Lastly, whoever is requesting a quilt/bag will be asked to cover the cost of postage as we cannot ask the volunteers to cover those costs as well as their time and materials.

Postage is as follows:

Quilt $25

Laundry bag $15

Both quilt and bag $40

The funds will need to be deposited into the Aussie Hero Bank Account and a receipt forwarded to Aussie Heroes by email before a quilt/bag is created. Bank details etc will be forwarded via email once the request has been received and accepted.

This offer ends at 6pm Friday 16th January 2026. The recipient must have served 15+ years. Postage must be paid prior to items being made. Don't delay - this offer is capped at 50 Requests.
