Save the date.... Aussie Hero Quilts Annual Thank You Weekend 2024

 G'day all

Well it is about a month since this year's Annual Thank You Weekend in Canberra and I hope those of you who attended agree with me that it was a great success. 

So now, I am planning for next year's weekend!  We are in the early planning stages but I can tell you one thing! Here is the date.

This year we started the weekend with a bang when we met with their Excellencies, the Governor General and Mrs Hurley. What a fabulous start to our weekend. 

Next we headed off to the Cadets' Mess at ADFA and enjoyed listening to some great speakers.  The lucky door prizes and goodie bags were well received and having a light dinner there made it easier for everyone. 

Annette Gero was a great speaker, enjoyed by all.

Our Saturday started with Breakfast for the newbies at The Rex Hotel. 

The bus trip was well received and I do believe that there may have been suitcases that were slightly heavier when they left Canberra than when they arrived. 

I have had so much lovely feedback for the dinner.  Everyone loved our MC, Pello.  The Auctions were a great success. 

Not everything will be the same next year... a little variety is a good thing...
