Recently six quilts and laundry bags were sent to six unsung Aussie Heroes, Australian government officials who assisted the departure
of Australian citizens and permanent residents, from Wuhan, in response to
COVID-19.
When Australians overseas find themselves in trouble there are usually Australian government officials who take the lead in making the necessary arrangements to help them get the assistance they need and, when possible, to help them get home.
Our citizens would not have been able to be evacuated without this team making the necessary arrangements. I am very glad that we were able to let them know that we appreciate their service by sending them quilts and laundry bags.
Thank you all for your service and the sacrifice that service asked of you and your loved ones.
