Just Another Working Day.....

It has been a busy week this week.

Charis came on Tuesday and did all sorts of things.... shredding, sorting, packing laundry bags and more jobs that I can't even remember.

Yesterday Donna dropped in from Martinsville to deliver a bunch of quilts that she has just quilted for us.  Two other lovely ladies dropped in with fabric and bits and pieces.

And then today....

This is more or less what greeted the ladies when they came for a sewing day today.

Soooo much got done today!!!  Patches of all sorts got added to quilts to add a special personal touch.  Labels got added.  One quilt needed special messages to be added from the recipient's colleagues.

A stack of quilts needed binding so fabric was pulled out to cut the binding from and the quilts were divided up to be taken home to be done.

Two quilts were quilted and added to the pile to be bound.

Fabric was sorted.  New quilts were photographed.  Lots of new laundry bags were photographed and a whole bunch were packed up to send to our Submariners.

Doris dropped in to collect fabric for some more laundry bags for her group to make.

Everyone worked so hard and went home with homework. I really don't know what I would do without the awesome ladies who come here to so.  They do so much of the GRUNT work that I just don't have time to do.

A big thanks to Clarissa, Bridget, Bev U, Bev F and Joan McK for today's work.

And the week is not over yet.  Gail is coming tomorrow.. hand sewing, packing and sorting....

Phew!

No wonder I have not had time to write a proper blog post yet tonight!

Till next time..... keep spreading the word and happy stitching!
