Weekly Dispatches March 14th

I hope this finds you all looking forward to a great weekend.
I know the crew of HMAS Melbourne and their friends and family will certainly be looking forward to this weekend given that their ship comes in tomorrow morning.  Debbie and I are just a little excited (well, ok, maybe the excitement level is a little higher than that!) to be among the welcoming crowd tomorrow morning.  The outfits are sorted....we do have to look smart given that we are representing Aussie Heroes and are there at the invitation of the captain!  The camera is being charged - the tissues are packed...everyone is telling me they think I will need them.  Must think I am a softie or something.  Don't know where you get that idea from!
I will be sure to take lots of photos and will share them all on the blog with a full rundown of the excitement.  Can't wait to share it with you all.

Till then, sit back and enjoy the Show and Tell for this week.

163 quilts and 224 laundry bags for 2014.

Del created the embroidery of the skippy badge (sorry I don't have a close up) and Jenny and Gale completed the quilt around it.

Del did another of her awesome embroideries, this time of the medical corps crest and then I did the appliques and sent the lot down to Lynn. The colours are close to the corps colours but tweaked a little because the recipient is also an Adelaide Crows fan.

Got to love the Aussie fabric lining with the Cobb and Co coach on it.
