Weekly Dispatches 12 July

1800 quilts in 18 months and 12 days!

Take a bow everyone!

:-)

The tally so far.

51 quilts this week and 84 laundry bags.

793 quilts and 1527 laundry bags for 2013.

1800 quilts and 2893 laundry bags in total.

Tonight's post is going to be an almost wordless post as I have a choice - I can sit here and type, or sit here and sew, and I have a bunch of quilts that need binding before they can go off to HMAS Newcastle and elsewhere so that is my priority. So grab a cuppa and enjoy the pictures tonight.

Top by Kiwi Karen and Jan-Maree and quilted by Trina.

Lynn made the quilt top, I added the 37 and the hercules and Donna quilted it.

Pieced by Lynn and quilted by me.

Lynn made the bottom section of the top and I added the border with the fish and the rising sun on it.
Quilted by Trina.

Pam M posted off these laundry bags, 20 in all, and many of them individually.  When the lady at the post office heard what the boxes and bags were for she handed them over free of charge!  That has got to make you smile!

Note this backing is two of the large Aussie flag panels from Spotlight sewn together in the middle.   Great idea.

And just before I go - a belated happy Birthday to Caroline for yesterday - she snuck that through without telling me!

If you are wondering where Caroline is these days, she is off busily selling her business and is keen as mustard to come back  to Aussie Heroes as soon as the deal is closed.
Won't be long and there will be more Deputy Nut cheek on the blog and elsewhere!

Back to the sewing machine for me.

Till next time..............keep spreading the word and happy stitching!
